For the month of love, I've decided to have a themed post today. I'd like to talk about our hearts. Our hearts are very important organs in our bodies, but that's it. Without this pump, we would not receive the blood needed to run our bodies, and we would die. So, do we think with our hearts? No. Do we give our hearts away? Certainly not if we want to live.
I can just imagine the romance atmosphere: candles burning, music playing, the sweet scent of roses permeating through the air. Our beloved leans forward to lightly brush their lips with ours. Much too soon, they pull back with a knowing smile and a glint in their eye. Pleasure wells in our chest at the sight of the package presented to us. Peering into the box, we see a bloody heart, still beating and warm. "For you, my love. I present you with my heart." The words fall from their lips as their body crumbles to the floor.
So, I will ask: this Valentines Day, will you be giving your heart away?
